CTS or CPC Certification
08/30/2007 05:19
If you are seeking your CTS or your CPC
Certification, TAPC is making it easy for you! Last
spring, our process resulted in a 100% pass rate for
everyone that went through this process! And, now, no
matter where you are in Texas, you can participate in
study sessions leading up to the NAPS Certification
Immersion Day and the Certification Exam. Here's how
it works…
Your first step is to complete the attached form and fax your information and payment to the fax number on the form. This will be tracked by TAPC's Education Chair, Lynne Von Villas, and she will get your information to NAPS. They will process your payment and send you your study materials. The cost is $350 and that pays for your study materials and your "license" to take the exam. If you have someone else's study materials, that does NOT mean you are registered through NAPS to take the exam. You can either take the exam on line after studying on your own or you can follow the process below which will be much more likely to bring you success in passing the exam.
If you do not get your study materials in a week, contact Lynne Von Villas and she will help you get them. Do NOT wait longer than that if you want to participate in study sessions, Immersion Day, and be prepared to take the test in late October!
Your second step if you wish to attend the study sessions in San Antonio, Dallas, or Houston, is to immediately contact the people listed below for those 3 cities to get on the RSVP list. We need to know if you will be attending local study sessions. In Houston, contact Helene Cavanaugh at 1.888.974.2272. In San Antonio, contact Christine Walters at 210-495-5900 X105. In Dallas, contact Lynne Von Villas at 972.221-5566. There is no cost for the local study sessions but you do need to RSVP. They begin on 9/5 and run for 7 weeks each Wednesday. More information about the study sessions is below in this email.
If you wish to phone in to hear the study session from Houston each week, you need to contact Helene Cavanaugh at 1.888.974.2272. This would be applicable to people outside of Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio or for those that simply cannot attend the sessions in those cities. You will be added to the list and the Monday before the first session, you will be emailed a dial in number and password with instructions. Then, beginning Wednesday, September 5th, you can dial in for the Noon-1:00 CTS session OR the 1:15-2:15 CPC session, whichever applies to you.
Your third step is to contact NAPS and register for the Immersion Day in San Antonio on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. The day is a full day of review, taught by the author of the study material. At the end of the day, you take the exam itself and the results are given to you the next day. To get registered for the Immersion Day go to www.recruitinglife.com <</span>file://www.recruitinglife.com> , then go to the shopping mall on the left side menu, select the category "THE CERTIFICATION COLLECTION" and then there is a list of ALL of the certification Immersion Classes. Be careful to pick the correct choice at the correct location. If you are a NAPS member, log on first, then go to the Savings Center and follow from "The Certification Collection" to selecting your class.
As soon as you receive your study materials, begin studying on your own, make some flash cards, highlight the material in your study book, and make some notes. That will help you tremendously. Come to the review classes in Dallas, San Antonio, or Houston or phone in, but be prepared.
To help you stay on track with the material so you can study on your own prior to each week's study session, below is the outline of which chapters will be reviewed during the weekly study sessions.
