your Texas representative is? (You know the man or
woman that makes decisions that affect your
business).
Do you know the pending legislation on the house floor that affects your recruiting firm, your money?
How would it affect your business if Texas has a sales tax on direct hires? Will your clients take their business to Oklahoma?
What happens if by law YOU HAVE TO DISCLOSE YOUR MARGINS TO CLIENTS when formally asked by the clients? This is a new law that is on the books now. Thankfully the vast majority of clients don’t know it exists YET. TAPC is working hard to reverse this law.
Your question might be, “Why should I attend, what good will I do?
We have to educate the legislators on what we do, how we affect Texas employment and how their legislative voting can negatively affect Texas. They will listen to people that have the power to vote them into or out of office.
